Start of Something New

Please read:     John 14:15-31

I have been praying and thinking what now, where to now.   Well, yesterdays sermon has tugged my heart to dig deeper into the Holy Spirit and has reminded me of a book I read years ago and will read again.  I am not a highly intelligent person, so this book took a long time to read.   It is a book called “Knowing God” by J.I. Packer.   It is loaded with many things that prompted my heart to dig deeper and has been one of the things that changed my relationship with Jesus.   His comments on the Holy Spirit in our lives impacted me greatly when I read the book years ago, and so going forward I will revisit those promptings once again.

I will be sharing with you my walk through a re-acquaintance with the Holy Spirit through the writings of scripture and  a visit back to “Knowing God”.

We are blessed to be able to read our bibles freely, and it is exciting for me to be able to share with you the journey I am on.  Thank you for letting me do that.

Some of the things I am wanting to do is to dig deeper who the Holy Spirit is in light of scripture and then to come to a place where I understand how I see Him and how I can improve my relationship with Him.  I hope you are up to the journey with me.  If you haven’t spent much time thinking about the Holy Spirit, I promise you are in for a treat.  You sure don’t have to wait for me, take some time and dig into the Comforter – the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever questioned for yourself, where your thoughts are on the Holy Spirit?  How do you see Him as an active part of your life?  What part does He play in your relationship with the Father and the Son too?   Lots to think on.   See you next week.

Love, Hugs n Prayers
