And now… From a Daughters heart.

I have been pretty quiet on here the last couple of weeks, there has been a lot going on.  We have settled our girl at home, my brother in law continues in his battle through the cancer that challenges him, my Mom has had a stroke and… well… my head, heart and faith has been pretty focused.

My mom lays in her bed, and sometimes sits in a special chair.  She said something yesterday that is ringing in my head.  “If you want a pay cheque, you need to do the work”.  She was referring to the different things that she must endure in order to get well.  Some of it is pretty hard to watch her go through.   She said ” I will work hard at whatever they ask of me, because that is my part”.  96 and her wisdom pours out as richly today as it did when she used to wipe my nose.

Her journey could be lengthy and will have times that will mean rough hard days, but this one thing I know, and that is she will do her part.  She will trust Jesus to help her do her part and will rest in Him for His care and keeping.  You see my Mom’s faith has never been about the easy times, she has seen some very hard times in fact.  Her faith continues to shine to me her youngest daughter and lights a path for me to gain wisdom and strength from the Heavenly Father I love so deeply.    She prayers for my brother in law and prays for my daughter and in fact, she prays for all who are family and friends.

Please pray for her, for my daughter Ashley and for my brother in law Kevin on their journey through health road blocks.  God is faithful and His strength is never ending I am learning to trust each one to Him.

“I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. For your steadfast love is great to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.  Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!” Psalm 57:9-11
