When we bought our home it was the view of Mt Cheam (and the clothesline) that sold me and told me that this was our home! Over the years we have been witness to some amazing enchanting sights. The other morning was again a day to hold our breath and watch the sky unfold the beginning of a new day.
I crawled out of bed with eyes at half mast after a night of restless sleep from a painful shoulder. Walking through the kitchen to open the blinds on the sliding glass doors this is the view I was met with. The sky was waking up… light was rising to greet the world for a new day.

The colours began to show and I had to run for my camera, I just knew it was going to be amazing!

I could almost not contain myself watching this take place. My voice crackled as I said to Darwin, “This is what the bible means when it says the heavens declare the glory of God”!

“The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above[a] proclaims his handiwork.” Psalm 19:1

In the next picture you can see the jet stream and the tiny black dots, they were the birds. It was as if they were celebrating the new day! I hope as you see these photos that you will find joy and a blessing in this day. Each day was created to hold the promise that when we open our lives and hearts to God that we are never alone. The sunrise to me is a reminder that His promises are not only in written word of the bible, but displayed in each new morning.
