What sounds best Old or New Muscle cars?

2018 is gone and 2019 is here!   So, on this beautiful New Years Day 2019 what am I doing?   I am sitting in my chair looking at muscle car videos.   I have hidden my love for the “old” muscle cars for a lot of years, but since Facebook has so many that show up on my feed, my love for muscle cars is no longer a secret!   Don’t give me numbers for engine power , that won’t impress me.   Just start it up… rev it up… let it idle….and then drive it!    I don’t like going  fast any more, but I love, LOVE the sound of the original muscle cars!!!!

Today I went looking for videos online in respect to the sound of muscles cars.  Surprisingly enough I found a few and have watched them trying to decide if I agreed or not.  There is one I didn’t agree on… at all!   This one is for a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon… the sound of this car did nothing for me and did nothing for Darwin.  This isn’t a true muscle car in my thoughts.  What do you think?

Does this sound like a muscle car to you? 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon

You know I have a love for the ’67 Chevelle so you won’t be surprised that this video grabbed me!!!  Just listen to this car!!!!

THIS is a muscle car!  1967 Chevelle 502SS

This video is a compilation of a few of the real muscle cars.  I can’t identify all of them, I would be lying if I said I could.  What I can say is I love the sound of allll of them!!!!

What are you thoughts on this one?

Now, go back to the first one… I just did.  No way do the new cars hold a candle to the old.   I like the cars to look stock, not with the “what is that out the hood”.   When the car looks stock and sounds stock I melt like a crazy old lady.  Wait… I am old… ish.

When it comes to muscle cars, I don’t think the new generation vehicles can hold a candle to the old.  They look nice and even sound… umm… ok.. but not the same… just not the same as the old.

As you know I will always make mention of my faith some place in my posts.    When I stop and remember the time when I first realized and started to grasp the love Christ has for me I was humbled and overwhelmed.  I have been a Christian for over 49 years now and sometimes get wrapped up in trying to find answers for things that only eternity is going to answer and I sideline the love that first drew me to Christ.   I get caught up in life and lose sight of the old, old story.  The foundation of the love of Jesus is what keeps me going and gives me strength in the good and hard times.   If you want to know more of what I believe, let me know and I will share with you.  I won’t push, ever.

The sound of the old muscle cars and the old hymns keep this girl smiling.   I hope you enjoyed the videos and would love to hear from you in the comments what your thoughts are on these cars.  Old vs New…. what do you think.

Hugs n’ Prayers

Love your article, and your love for muscle cars! Fun! I love them too. So do all four of our sons, and only daughter. Should you have the time and interest, I have added a couple blogs I wrote about our family and cars. Our sons, and daughter are all grown now, but we still take pictures of cars and send them back and forth for fun! Your blog is great!

    Happy New Year! Mitzy Bricker
