Let me tell you a “Thing” or two!

In my high school years every once in a while you would see this crazy car driving around that would catch my eye and make me chuckle.  While all the muscle cars caught my heart, this particular car made me chuckle.   It wasn’t so much that it was a funny looking “thing”, but that the name was .. in my thoughts… ridiculous.   Now VW is talking about bringing it back, only electric this time.

I found this article this mourning and thought it was pretty funny that they would bring it back! It is………

VW . “The Thing” .   If you have never seen the Thing, search around the internet to see a ton of pictures.  I couldn’t find one that I could copy legally, sorry.

The one that I am thinking of would drive around with the top off and the lady that was driving it always looked like she was in a hurry.   I would think to myself “I bet she has a THING or two to say”  and then chuckle.

Car designers must have fun designing cars and then making them actually do what they say they will… drive.   I am thankful that isn’t my job, it probably wouldn’t drive by the time I was finished all I thought it should have.   Cars are individual just as are people.

Each with a specific design and use.   Some are cared for, some are abused but all have a specific purpose.   While The Thing, made me laugh, to the owner it was her pride and joy, I am supposing.  As people we are designed  with a special purpose. Some are to care for others, some to teach and so on.   It is about taking time to find out who we are, how we can fulfill our purpose and then seek to do just that.   Know today you were “designed” with a purpose and your life has meaning.

Proverbs 20:5 .

“The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water,
but a man of understanding will draw it out.”

One of the things I know is part of our purpose it is to be loved by a God who sees us and loves us as we are.  I hope today you know that too.

Hugs n Prayers
